"The Art of Robert Reynolds: Quiet Journey" celebrates California’s natural beauty, inviting us to meander cross-country with Robert and, through his artistry, enjoy the Central Coast’s dynamic seascapes, its gently rolling terrain, and the majestic, rugged High Sierra.
Every stroke of Robert’s paintbrush, charcoal and graphite pencil reflects the internationally renowned artist’s skill, keen eye for detail, and his love for the rural landscapes and people of the Golden State.
His collection of 178 works – watercolor and acrylic paintings, with occasional renderings in charcoal and graphite – is handsomely reproduced on art paper in a large, 16-by-12.5-inch format, and paired with observations and musings by the artist and by writer James Hayes (both Faculty Emeritus of Cal Poly).
Proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit the Cal Poly Alumni Association.
