Do you sell gift cards?

• Cal Poly Gift Card is sold and accepted at El Corral Bookstore, Cal Poly Downtown, Cal Poly Print & Copy, www.elcorralbookstore.com, and nowhere else. As allowed by California law, there is no right to a refund or cash redemption unless the card’s value is less than $10.

How do I buy a gift card?

• In-Store: At the cash register, select a dollar value ($5 to $1,000 with no cents) and a themed card enclosure.
• On-Line: Click on Gift Cards in the row of tabs at the top of the page. You select a dollar value ($5 to $1,000 with no cents).

How do I use a gift card?

• In-Store: Hand your gift card to the cashier at point of purchase.
• On-Line Order: To use a gift card on-line, you must be recorded as the card’s recipient. Enter the card’s number at check-out. Whether or not the card’s dollar value is sufficient payment, your order requires a valid credit card or Campus Express Club account.
• Textbook Reservation: To use a gift card on-line, you must be recorded as the card’s recipient. Enter the card’s number when you sign up to reserve textbooks. Whether or not the card’s value is sufficient payment, your reservation requires a valid credit card or Campus Express Club account.

How do I know a gift card’s dollar value?

• The original dollar value is printed on the card enclosure. To learn the current dollar value, ask a cashier to swipe your card for a balance inquiry. Or call Customer Service at 805-756-5322 with your card at hand.

Does a gift card have an expiration date?

• As California law requires, we sell gift cards with no expiration date. Use a card as often as you like until its dollar value is zero.

What if I lose a gift card?

• Report a missing card. We can deactivate the card, and issue a new card with whatever dollar value remained on the old card. However, we are neither responsible for a card’s unauthorized use nor obligated to replace a lost or stolen card. Keep your card in a safe place or on your person.

Is there a shipping charge on gift cards?

• We send gift cards by US Mail at no additional charge unless you request UPS Next or Second Day Air delivery. Our shopping cart automatically applies our base fee of $7.00 and applicable sales tax at check-out, however after your order is received by our Order Department the shipping fee and tax is waived for all UPS Ground orders.
