How do I search for textbooks?
- You want to see the textbooks and other courseware that instructors
and departments either require or recommend for your classes at
Cal Poly. For that reason, you do not search for individual books
by ISBN, author, title, or subject. Instead, you search for a book
list that matches your class list. At this website, a class is identified
by its department abbreviation, course code, and section number.
May I buy on-line any textbook that I see?
- On-line, you may buy only new. If a book is available
only as used, however, we substitute used for
new and charge you the lower price. If you want used textbooks
without shopping our shelves, consider Textbook
Reservation.
How do I buy on-line?
- Textbook shipping not available the first
two weeks of class.
- To order an item on your book list, add it to the shopping cart.
- When an on-line order includes an item from Textbooks
& Courseware, there is no option of backorder
or in-store pick-up. If you want textbook backorders,
consider Textbook Reservation and Shop
Once Service. If you want in-store pick-up of your
textbook order, consider Textbook Reservation.
- Please keep in mind that we can not deliver any order, with or
without textbooks, to a Cal Poly address or to a Post Office Box.
